Introduction
When it comes to design projects, the more information a designer has about a job site, the better the decisions will be made to provide an accurate understanding of the situation.
One of the most efficient things to do is to georeference a drawing in order to assign real-world coordinates to it. This may allow a designer to notice potential issues before they arise and avoid costly rework.
Georeferencing is a prerequisite for exploring any other features of Plex-Earth. This process ensures that the drawing is accurately overlaid with existing spatial data without skewing its geometry.
Don't know the coordinate system for your project? Try to create a custom georeference.
Select Coordinate System
Go to the Plex-Earth ribbon, and on the Project panel, click on "Assign Georeference". Alternatively, type PXV_GEO in the command line.
A window will pop up to ask you to specify the drawing's georeference. Proceed to choose "By Coordinate System".
Then, Plex-Earth will show the following menu, where you can choose the Country, the Coordinate System, and the respective Units. You also have the option to type the country, region, coordinate system, or EPSG code for your convenience.
Then, click on the “Accept” button at the bottom.
Afterward, the selected coordinate system will be displayed, as shown below.
If you want to set the current coordinate system as the default, click on the "Set as Default" button.
After finishing the georeferencing process, you are now ready to explore all the new features Plex-Earth offers.
