How do I know I have a connectivity issue?
In some cases, you might experience the issues below:
- Getting the error message "Configuration could not be initialized"
- Click on Plex-Earth ribbon commands and see on CAD's command line the message "Unknown Command" (this could be a compatibility issue as well)
- Even if Plex-Earth is installed, you open CAD and see no Plex-Earth ribbon (this could be a ribbon issue or compatibility issue)
- You may experience the following error messages:
21000: Could not send GET request!
35002: Failed retrieve latest version information!
10000: Forbidden - Importing imagery and getting white or empty tiles (this could be a georeferencing issue as well)
This is probably a result of the configurations of either your firewall or proxy (if you are using one) that are blocking the connection to our web services.
In such connectivity errors, it is often difficult to find the exact root of the problem; therefore, we recommend contacting your IT/system administrator for assistance.
How can I resolve connectivity issues?
Try the following troubleshooting with the order stated.
1) Check your internet connection
Make sure that you have an uninterrupted internet connection. This is a prerequisite to access our services.
2) Whitelist the following URLs
apisrv-v2-winuser.plexearth360.com
*.blob.core.windows.net
*.azurewebsites.net
*.plexearth360.com
Make sure that every call to our service complies with SSL/TLS protocols to be accepted.
3) Check if an Antivirus or Firewall program interrupts the connection
Deactivate the respective Antivirus or Firewall to check if this is the root of the issue.
4) Make sure that the AutoCAD executable is not blocked by your firewall.
Both inbound and outbound rules should be examined, and any blocking entries should be modified to allow internet access.
For local firewalls or if there is no system administrator, please follow the instructions below.
5) Uninstall the Dropbox application for AutoCAD
In some cases, when having Dropbox installed, you encounter connectivity issues with the Plex-Earth service.
