If you want to create a simple map for a large area, even the size of a country, you can use Plex-Earth and the quick method described below using the Quick Site View feature.
Step 1: Georeference your drawing
Apply a coordinate system or a quick georefernce.
Step 2: Define your Map Area
You can locate your area in Google Earth, then create a polygon, copy it, and fetch it into CAD. Alternatively, you can define your area in CAD if you already know where to place it.
Step 3: Create a Quick Site View
Select the command Quick Site View and define your Map Area.
After doing so, the Quick Site View Editor will open.
Step 4: Insert Image
Go to the download button in Quick View Editor and insert the image as a raster file into your drawing.
Step 5: Edit the Raster Image
Since the scale of this project is large, you will notice that there will be discrepancies between your outline and the image. This is normal due to its size, but you can use the commands Move, Rotate, and Align of CAD to adjust the raster as well as possible.
After that, your Map is ready for use and printing!
